How to Respond to Positive Google Reviews (20 Examples)
Most owners only scramble to respond when a review is bad. But replying to your positive reviews is the easiest reputation win there is. It deepens loyalty with the customer who praised you, shows future readers you're attentive and gracious, and signals to Google that your profile is active.
Three rules for great positive replies
- Keep it short — one or two sentences is plenty.
- Be specific — mention the thing they praised, so it doesn't feel auto-generated.
- Make it personal — use their name and your own voice, not corporate-speak.
Examples
“Best haircut I've had in years. Maria really listened to what I wanted.”
Thank you so much! I'll be sure to pass this along to Maria — she'll be thrilled. We can't wait to see you again soon. 💈
“Great food and lovely atmosphere. We'll definitely be back.”
This made our day — thank you! We're so glad you enjoyed the food and the vibe. See you next time; your table's waiting. 🍝
“Quick, honest, and fairly priced. Finally a mechanic I trust.”
Thank you — trust is everything in this business, so that means a lot. We're always here when you need us. Drive safe! 🔧
The one mistake to avoid
Don't paste the identical "Thanks for your review!" under every 5-star rating. A wall of copy-paste replies looks lazy and fake. A few seconds of personalization — naming the dish, the staff member, the service — is what makes it land.
If you've got a stack of happy reviews to get through, our free tool drafts a unique, personal reply for each one in seconds.
